Library L1200

The automated DLT / SDLT Tape Library L1200 family consists of a number of entry-level models with the reliability of high performance systems. L1200 has up to four DLT or SDLT drives and up to 30 cartridge slots. The Tape Library can be integrated in a SAN via native Fibre Channel ports.

DLT / SDLT / LTO Library P4000

P4000 is an automated Tape Library for the midrange. With its high-availability features and scalability it is particular well suited for e-business as well as for ISPs and ASPs. It may be installed in traditional SCSI environments but also in Storage Area Networks (SANs) with the Fibre Channel option. P4000 has up to 10 drives and up to 322 cartridge slots.

DLT / SDLT / LTO Library P7000

The Tape Library P7000 with up to 16 drives and 679 cartridge slots has an aggregate native data rate of up to 1,7 TB/hour and a native capacity of 149 TB. It is designed for highest availability requirements. The multi-terabyte P7000 features redundant AC power sources, power supplies and fans, and single connector, hot-swap drives, power supplies and fans. Both models P4000 and P7000 are highly scalable and up to 5 units can be combined to a single logical library.

LTO Ultrium Scalable Tape Libraries 3583 and 3584 for Open Systems Environments

3583 Ultrium Scalable Tape Library

The 3583 Ultrium Scalable Tape Library is the ideal solution for backup, archiving and disaster recovery in the midrange area. It has a native maximum capacity of 7.2 TB and an aggregate sustained data rate of up to 324 GB/hour with 6 drives.

3584 UltraScalable Tape Library

The 3584 UltraScalable Tape Library is an extremely cost-effective solution for growing tape storage requirements. 3584 provides the flexibility to meet your needs both now and in the future. Start with an entry base frame and add an expansion frame as you need capacity or install additional drives. The maximum native capacity is 248.1 TB and the maximum native aggregate sustained data rate is 3.9 TB/hour with 72 drives.

Magstar Tape Solutions

Magstar Tape System 3590

The Magstar Tape System 3590 offers highest capacity, performance and availability. The native data rate is 9 MB/s (B models) and 14 MB/s (E models) and the maximum native capacity is 20 GB (B models) and 40 GB (E models). It can be attached to IBM, HP, SUN and Windows NT/2000 servers via ESCON, FICON, SCSI and/or Fibre Channel.

Magstar Tape Library 3494

With up to 748 TB capacity the Magstar Tape Library is the ideal solution for large tape storage requirements. It is modular, fast and highly available. With the model and configuration variety it can easily grow with tape storage needs. It can be equipped with 3490 or Magstar 3590 drives and it can store between 160 and 6,240 cartridges depending upon the configuration. It can be attached to IBM, HP, SUN and Windows NT/2000 server via ESCON, FICON, SCSI or Fibre Channel.

TotalStorage^TM Virtual Tape Server

The TotalStorage Virtual Tape Server is an extension of the Magstar Tape Library 3494 and is designed to significantly improve performance and leverage Magstar 3590 cartridge capacity and helps to reduce overall tape operations costs. Users should see a considerable reduction in the number of tape cartridges when moving workloads to the TotalStorage Virtual Tape Server. Using fewer cartridges decreases the size of the tape library. With data access at disk speeds and the reduction of the number of physical tape mounts, tape jobs become much faster.
