The IBM TotalStorage™ Virtual Tape Server (VTS) is an enterprise tape solution designed to significantly improve performance and exploit Magstar 3590 tape cartridge capacity. Attaching to both IBM S/390™ and open system servers, the VTS is a complete solution that helps companies to automate a much larger portion of their data storage and leads to a significant reduction of overall tape operating costs.
