Web-Attached Storage Web-Attached Storage means data storage via the Internet and consists of WebAttachedBackup (data backup/recovery via the Internet) and WebAttachedDrive (virtual hard disk on the Internet). Web-Attached Storage - The Corporate Solution Companies of all branches and of all sizes can simply and quickly integrate decentralised and mobile computers into their enterprise-wide storage solutions. The customer receives a turnkey Hardware/Software/Service package from COMPAREX, which is completely configured and sized for the requirements of his business. The Web-Attached Storage services are then installed onto a dedicated Storage Server. This Internet Storage Server (ISS) can either be set up in the customer's data center or else hosted by an Internet Service Provider. The system facilitates simple administration and monitoring, either onsite or remote. A graphical user interface provides access to various system-monitoring tools such as protocols and statistics, disk-space information, performance monitoring and diagnostic tools, as well as a replication tool to mirror all data. Web-Attached Storage - The Service Besides the corporate solution COMPAREX plans to offer a Web-Attached Storage service. This enables customers to store and archive their data easily via the internet and to avoid additional investments into know-how and hardware equipment.
